At Evanta, a Gartner Company, 14,300 C-level executives participate in our communities around the world, where they meet in person and virtually to build vital connections and discuss critical priorities with one another. A key benefit of joining a community is the ongoing exchange of peer insights and proven best practices which drive innovative ideas and help community members solve key leadership and business challenges.

Executives often tell us that peer insights are imperative to success in their roles, and here, we are highlighting the value peer insights have for Evanta community members.

Access to a Local Network with Global Insights

Evanta has 107 communities across 11 countries. With a focus on local connections, our members appreciate the ease with which they can get to know peers in their region to talk through common interests and challenges. This close proximity allows them to convene outside of our events, as well, and build lasting relationships.

Donna Dorsey, EVP, Chief People and Culture Officer at Navistar said, “This community is more than another group that you are part of. It really is close to home, literally and figuratively, and it's very convenient to be around people who know what is important to you and in the context of the region that you are in.”

In the Evanta community, we collaborate on pervasive issues and share success stories, or tales of caution, to elevate fellow CISOs in the region.”

- Anup Singh
CISO, REV Group

Evanta’s exclusive communities are comprised of leaders from the most innovative companies, and we take a selective approach to membership to ensure peer conversations are held at the highest level. Here, members are meeting with their true peers who have similar challenges and opportunities.

Rudi Mohamed, Chief Information Officer at Minnesota Housing Finance Agency recounted his experience, “Joining the Evanta community offers invaluable benefits, such as the chance to connect with peers who understand my challenges and access a rich pool of collective wisdom, enabling us to stay ahead with insights into emerging technologies, proven strategies, and lessons learned from others' experiences.”

Exchange of Peer-Validated Strategies and Solutions

Evanta members share insights and validate strategies through participation in community programs, where we host over 400 events around the world each year. Programs are offered in a range of settings from full-day Executive Summits to intimate Inner Circles and Town Halls. Members tell us that they like to get together in person, where ideas can be exchanged through casual hallway conversations or more structured networking opportunities, like our Peer-to-Peer Meetings. Virtual gatherings are also offered throughout the year to provide opportunities for executives to connect on a more frequent basis.

To Will Dalton, Vice President, Chief Information Officer at ATCO, sharing strategies with peers is a reason to keep participating in his Evanta community. He said, "With the rate at which technology is changing, it is essential to have a strong network to share your operational experiences and learnings. Evanta offers a community to share and discover what others are experiencing in their environments and explore how their strategies are evolving."

Being part of this community fosters collaboration, leadership growth, and access to valuable resources that contribute to more informed decision-making in today's fast-paced business landscape.”

- Benedict Olaoya
CISO, SGN

Community gatherings are closed-door for executives to share their successes and pitfalls and walk away with actionable insights they can implement immediately. During the UK & Ireland CISO Executive Summit, Sarah Lawson, CISO & Deputy CIO, University College London said, “This is one that I make time for because it has purpose and it has very clear outcomes… I can take things away from today, and I will act upon them."

Forward-Looking Perspectives and Thought Leadership

In addition to community programs, members stay abreast of industry trends through Evanta’s proprietary member surveys and community thought leadership:

Leadership Perspective Survey: In this annual survey, we ask members of our C-level communities to share their functional and enterprise priorities, goals and challenges and planned investment areas for the year ahead, and thus far in 2024, we have received over 6,500 responses. The results inform event agendas, ensuring they cover only the most timely and relevant topics C-level executives want to discuss – In fact, in our Governing Body Member survey, 90% of executives said their ability to influence the agenda is a reason they participate with Evanta.

Community Pulse Surveys: Throughout the year, we ask members about pressing topics that arise outside of their general priorities. Recently, they wanted to learn more about AI adoption to help them gauge where they stand in accordance with their peers. In prior surveys, topics included talent strategy, generative AI and the state of the economy.

Thought Leadership: Outside of programs, executives contribute their thought leadership by sharing proven best practices, lessons learned, and leadership advice on Evanta.com. Read their stories here:

Gartner Insights: Along with peer insights, executives express a desire to hear from Gartner analysts to better inform their strategies. To support this request, a Gartner analyst will be sharing Gartner insights at every Evanta Executive Summit going forward.

As the business landscape is rapidly changing, access to peer insights and continuous learning is essential for C-level executives striving to grow their businesses. As Vaibhav Sharma, CFO, GlobalLogic says, “The importance of engaging with peers outside the organization becomes incrementally important as you move up the ladder to keep one updated with the best practices, insights about new challenges and problem solving. Evanta offers a great networking platform of accomplished leaders to brainstorm ideas, share, and learn from one another.”
