Give us a brief overview of the path that led to your current role.

The path to my current role would not be possible without continuous learning and the tendency to solve complex business problems with the strong inclination to build a service providing organization.

What is one of your guiding leadership principles?

Empowerment, listening and leading by example.

With disruption being a key theme of the past year, where do you see your role as a CIO going in the next 1-2 years?

We are undergoing a global economic shift with multiple macro-level changes, and the role of CIO has become essential for organizations to scale the business. In turn, CIOs will continue to be called to develop sophisticated automations and streamline processes as an internal consulting or service provider.

What advice would you give to someone just starting out in the role as a CIO?

It's important to understand the pulse of the business, value drivers, culture and alignment with your peers. Don't rush into making decisions. Listen to others and get as much data into decision making. Once this is established, then you can accelerate your strategy with business engagement as top priorities. Over communicate initially to establish relationships with others.

Tell us some fun facts about yourself.

I love traveling, cooking, reading, golfing and meditation. I'm a big fan of good whiskey.
