Some opportunities were presented to me, some I sought out - all offered a challenge and an opportunity to continuously learn and apply more skills.
What is one of your guiding leadership principles?
Do 'the right thing' from a people and business perspective.
With disruption being a key theme of the past few years, where do you see your role as a CIO going in the next 1-2 years?
The role of the CIO will always be grounded in fundamental IT, cyber security operations, and program/project delivery with an increased focus on extracting high value from data and analytics.
What advice would you give to someone just starting out in the role as a CIO?
Understand what is core to support the corporate business, the operations and finance functions, while aligning and prioritizing those to strategic objectives.
