Give us a brief overview of the path that led to your current role.

My journey began with a deep commitment to community service and a passion for making a tangible difference in people’s lives. Over the years, I worked across various organizations including volunteering, which shaped my leadership style and taught me the value of empathy and efficiency in team management. These experiences naturally guided me to my current role at Americare, where I aim to elevate healthcare standards.
 

What is one of your guiding leadership principles?

“Lead with integrity, empower others, and inspire accountability.” I believe a leader’s role is to create an environment where individuals feel valued, trusted, and motivated to achieve shared goals.
 

What is the greatest challenge technology leaders face today, and how are you addressing it?

One of the greatest challenges today is navigating rapid technological advancements while maintaining a human-centered approach to care. I address this by balancing innovation with the unique needs of our patients and teams. Ensuring technology serves people—rather than replacing human connection—remains my focus.
 

What is the key to success for someone just starting out as a CIO?

The key is to listen, learn, and build trust. Embrace humility by understanding you don’t have all the answers, but surround yourself with people who challenge you and align with your vision. Success comes from cultivating strong relationships and staying adaptable.
 

How do you measure success as a leader?

I measure success by the growth and accomplishments of my team. If I’ve empowered others to lead, achieve their potential, and drive meaningful outcomes for the organization, then I consider my role successful.
