SEPTEMBER 26, 2023

As the summer months come to a close, Evanta’s CISO communities have been hard at work shaping their second-half programmes. Over 400 CISOs have completed their Leadership Perspective Surveys so far this year in EMEA, covering our communities in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. So, what do our CISO communities have to look forward to next?

It’s a particularly exciting time for the EMEA region as we launch brand new communities in Riyadh and Milan for CISOs in the Gulf Cooperation Council and Italy, respectively. Due to community demand, we are running a second Executive Summit for the UK and Ireland community in London, and we are  heading back to Copenhagen (for the first time since 2019!) to bring our Danish CISOs an Inner Circle Dinner. Elsewhere, we have Executive Summits in Amsterdam, Frankfurt and Paris and Inner Circle Dinners in Stockholm, Frankfurt and London.

CISOs from some of the most influential organisations in Europe and the Middle East are featured on our upcoming agendas. I’ve listed a few of the sessions executives are most excited about below - happy reading!

  1. Championing Strategic IT & Security Business Collaboration Across the Organisation at the Benelux CIO & CISO Executive Summit

In an effort to better collaboration and communication between CIOs, CISOs and the wider business, Jessica Conquet, Global CISO at Randstad, and Femke Jacobs, Chief Transformation & Technology Officer for Nationale-Nederlanden, will engage in a panel discussion moderated by Ad Krikke, Leadership Partner at Gartner. They will share their experiences on equipping the organisation to make risk-informed decisions with autonomy to make the most out of emerging technologies, without compromising the operating environment.

  1. What's Next for the CISO Role — Evolution or Revolution? at the UK and Ireland CISO Executive Summit

Naina Bhattacharya, Group CISO at Danone, will question what the role of the modern CISO should look like and how the CISO must master three personas - the technologist, the business enabler and the storyteller.

  1. The Future of Cybersecurity - How Can Cybersecurity and R&D Work Together? at the Middle East CIO & CISO Executive Summit

NEOM, a new urban area within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is considered the most ambitious initiative within their 2030 vision. With such innovation comes ever-increasing levels of complexity, and a volatile threat landscape. Mesfer Almesfer, Group CISO will address how NEOM’s cybersecurity and R&D teams are collaborating to predict what cybersecurity might look like in the future to best protect their vision for years to come.

  1. Navigating EU's New Cybersecurity Regulations and Policies - ENISA's Perspective at the DACH CISO Executive Summit

The EU’s NIS2 directive must be adopted by all EU states by 2024 and enterprises are well underway preparing towards compliance. To better prepare security leaders, Vangelis Ouzounis, Head of Policy Development and Implementation Unit, ENISA will share the context and requirements behind this new regulation and ENISA’s views on the increasing threat landscape in Europe.

  1. Translating Insight into Action to Enhance Incident Response at the France CIO & CISO Executive Summit

Jean-Jaques Mallet, Group CISO at L’Oréal, will share insights on how to prepare your teams to turn theory into action when an attack hits and learnings on effective incident response.

This is only a sneak peek of the many compelling sessions on Executive Summit agendas in the coming months. To find out more about the stories and speakers featured on our programmes in the second half of the year, find your local CISO community and apply to join today.
