Manish Chokshi is the Cybersecurity Leader for Digital Transformation at HP. With 26 years of experience, Manish Chokshi has held diverse roles in information/cybersecurity, IT/financial auditing, and cybersecurity consulting. As a cybersecurity leader, he led four major cybersecurity transformations. His expertise includes developing security policies and procedures across various functions, managing regulatory compliance, and overseeing significant cybersecurity projects like Data Center migrations and M&A activities, all while leading global teams.

Give us a brief overview of the path that led to your current role.
I transitioned to specializing in IT auditing during the Y2K period due to my experience in financial auditing. Prior to pursuing CISSP, I was focusing on my CPA.
What is one of your guiding leadership principles?
In any field, you should always continuously learn and grow.
What is the greatest challenge CISOs face today, and how are you addressing it?
Keeping pace with rapid technological advancements, while ensuring ethical use and data security and privacy.
What is the key to success for someone just starting out as a CISO?
Build core executive capabilities and effective communication, broaden your network with fellow executives and define your brand, deepen sponsor relationships with C-level executives, and engage in continuous learning.
How do you measure success as a leader?
I measure success through achievement of strategic goals, team growth and development, employee engagement and satisfaction, innovation and improvement, customer focus and satisfaction, and financial performance.
