Nidhi Luthra joined Baxter in April 2023 as the Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer. Her responsibilities span Enterprise Security, Product Security, and IT Quality Compliance, securing Baxter’s environment, products, and the data housed within them. Prior to joining Baxter, Nidhi was the Global Cyber Risk Officer and the Head of the Global Information Security Office for Abbott, after serving as CISO for AMITA Health.
Nidhi achieved a master’s degree in Telecommunications Technology & Policy from Ohio University and a Master’s Degree in Management Labor Relations & Human Resources from Cleveland State University. On top of these two master’s degrees, she attended Cornell University for Executive Leadership for Healthcare Professionals.
A fun fact about Nidhi, when the weather is not frigid cold, Nidhi enjoys free swimming in Lake Michigan.

Effective leadership is rooted in trust and involves integrity, transparency, accountability, and empathy.
What is the greatest challenge CISOs face today, and how are you addressing it?
Maintaining responsive Cyber-Operations, in the face of attrition, cost cuts and cut through competition for expertise.
What is the key to success for someone just starting out as a CISO?
A strong support system and humility to ask for help.
How do you measure success as a leader?
Some examples include measured improvement in organizational resilience; business engagement and influence including participation in commercial/sales deals; employee sentiment/attrition.
